Privacy policy
Plain-language version, because most of our applicants are 16 to 26 and deserve to actually understand it.
What we collect, and why
When you apply, we collect what the form asks for: your name, contact details, country and city, date of birth, board, height, optional Instagram handle, optional notes, and three photographs. We use this for exactly one purpose: reviewing your application for the Meridia contest and contacting you if you are shortlisted.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything. This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies.
Where it lives
Applications and photos are stored with Supabase on servers in the European Union (AWS eu-west-1, Ireland), behind access controls. Only the Meridia scouting team can read them. Photos are held in private storage: they are never public and never published without your separate written consent.
How long we keep it
Applications for the 2026 contest are kept until 31 March 2027, three months after the final, then deleted, unless you have signed a contract with us or asked us to keep your file for the next season.
If you are under 18
You may apply from age 16 with the agreement of a parent or legal guardian, confirmed in the form and co-signed at the casting. Your parent or guardian can exercise any of the rights below on your behalf.
Your rights (GDPR)
- Access: ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
- Rectification: correct anything inaccurate.
- Erasure: have your application and photos deleted, at any time, no questions asked.
- Withdrawal: withdraw consent; we stop processing immediately.
- Complaint: complain to your national data protection authority.
To exercise any right, write to contact@meridiamodels.com from the email you applied with. We answer within 30 days.
Controller
